Artist Statement

My jewelry is influenced by the simplicity and purity of basic shapes, the mystery and beauty of found objects and the love of anything metal. I continually rediscover the myriad of techniques that "connect" metals and in these rediscoveries I'm reminded of the ways that people are connected to each other through shared art objects. The lively tension between the discrete elements of my designs and the integrity of the whole piece is my private vision of the dynamic that binds friends and families into the structures that give our lives joy.
